I came from Ohio. In 1 month I snooped around and found that Pagoda is
one of the few traditional Chinese restaurant here in Jax. I like it.
The decoration is a little old, but the dishes are delicious. Not like
the Chinese takee-outee I can hit everywhere, this place and its dishes
are more Hongkong/Guangdong style. Well, like John Stackhouse so emphasized, no smoking area. But the
dinning space is commodious enough for me to choose proper position--like
2 tables away from other customers. Upside: original taste of southern Chinese cuisine; traditional
decoration; spatial dinning area w/ big tables; price is $10-20/dish Downside: attrite decoration; very quiet; just beside Wendy's;
So if you want to try an original taste and like quiet environment (like
dinning in a big hall) you should try this restaurant. For me, I tend
to invite a bunch of friends to go together with me.

This place did not have a non-smoking area, now that smoking is
not allowed in FL resturants I guess this place will have to close.

It does not have a non-smoking area so that why this place is the
pits. I do not eat out of ash trays.

Never got eat here. After we were seated found out they did not
have a non-smoking area. The next ones that came in were and we
left.

This is a smoking place we did even stay to eat here. We were the
only one, s there, the next one, s that came sat right behind
us and started smoking we got up and left.Smoking should be banded
in all businesses that serve the public.

We went there but did not stay to eat. It was the only place in the
area that did not have a wait time. We went in and were the only ones
there. Then about 5 min. later another couple came in. They sat
in the booth right behind us and lite up we left. This was a smoking
resturant. Now I know why they had no wait time.
