A New Best in the extended Bay Area! The five of us started with a
Blue Cheese salad, another salad with tomato basil vinaigrette,
white clam chowder, and New Zealand Green Lip mussels
in a garlic broth. All were good, but the clam chowder was the
best I've had outside of Legal Seafood in Boston and the mussels
were of equal caliber. Next we had mahi mahi with tomato, orange,
and capers (yumm!), prawns with artichokes, garlic and green
onions, cajun red snapper with mango salsa, and the piece de
resistance- filet mignon with portabella mushrooms and sherry
sauce( to die for!). Dessert was a lemon sorbet (exquisite),
Grand Marnier Choclate Mousse (decadent), and cappucino cheese
cake. The inside is homey, the outside not much. Hats off to the
chef Hugh Butler and his wife Lisa, who own the place. This one
is not to be missed. By the way, the new name is Oyster Bay and
they are the new owners of only amonth, so old reviews are
outdated.

Excellant food though the place gets a little crowded at
times. They have this really great tasting black bread
that I've never been able to find elsewhere.
A very good choice for those who really love seafood.

This is an outstanding resturant. It's made from an old
house---has character, and good food. I really love
they're steamed clams over a layer of pasta noodles! You
get to slurp up all that scrumptious clam broth!! Kind of
small, so reservations recommended. Romantic, too! A
great place to stop coming back from Monterey. But you'd
expect good seafood at Moss Landing.
