I ate at Little Pigs today while visiting my father at nearby Mission
Memorial Hospital. It looked like a great authentic BBQ place because
it looked like nothing special. Great BBQ places don't waste money
on the outside, in my experience. Take a look at Arthur Bryants and the
like.
We walked in and saw the menu written up on the giant chalkboard behind
the counter. I chose the jumbo pulled pork sandwich and an order of onion
rings. It's counter service only and then you wait at one of the
red/white table clothed picnic tables inside until they shout out
your order.
The pork was well cooked, seemingly pit smoked. The slaw was perfectly
matched to the sandwich. The onion rings were not bad, not great.
I would love to try this place again, but hopefully my dad won't
be in the nearby hospital anytime soon:)
