Excellent, friendly service. Authentic Mexican food with a state-side twist. Been around for many years, family owned and operated. Their Chile Colorado is excellent as is every entre I've tried. Beer & wine available. Fairly crowded on weekends at dinner time but worth the wait!

I have been dining at La Milpa for years. They serve what I would call authentic Mexican Food. The burritos, tamales, enchiladas and menudo are very good. Also, they have great service.

For dinner, I had the chimi from the ala carte menu. It is a big deep fried burrito filled with carnitas or roast pork. It came with guacamole and sour cream poured on the top. I liked it a lot as I usually just get the regular burritos. The meat was nicely seasoned and the value great. I figured I would take some of it home so I did not need the rice and beans for the dinner meal version.

What's so good about this place? I was very disappointed at eating here maybe because of my high expectation. Everything is on the average and nothing is special for the service, store deco, and foods including salsa.

This is probably one of the best kept secrets of Milpitas. La Milpa is a great family style mexican restaurant. The portions are huge and the bill at the end is very small. The food is always excellent and freshly made. It is a relaxed environment, but don't expect to wait too long for your food. The service is top notch, and did I say the service was fast! Overall, a very well run and tasty option to your restaurant repertoire.

I give this restaurant 5 stars. I think i am their top and premier customer. I have come to that restaurant almost every Saturday night and it has been great. The food is excellent, the wait is very short, compared to other restaurants, and the waiters and waitresses are very polite. I recommend this place to anyone where they want to have a good time and some good food!
