New Yorkers are definitely don't know how to pick a good Chinese
restaurant. This place was great, the atmosphere was awesome, most
people who eat here are very classy, however when it comes to food quality,
this place suffers. I'd say you folks should try eating real Chinese
food on the West Coast, Los Angeles, San Francisco or better yet, Vancouver
are the three best places to eat real good Chinese food outside China/Hong
Kong. They really know how to cook. Shun Lee might be located in Midtown
Manhattan and a Chinese fiesta place for top Wall Street Bankers and
lawywers, but obviously they don't know how and where to eat a real
Chinese food.

This upscale Chinese restaurant located in east midtown is home
to one of NYC's most ecelectic wine lists and also features
mouth-watering dim-sum. Despite the traditional cuisine,
a very modern, western-inspired decor complements Chiam's
excellent menu.

What is interesting about this very good Chinese restaurant
is that they have a very good wine list, and the staff is knowledgable
about the wine. The food is light, almost spa cooking, but it goes
well with wine, unlike much Chinese cooking.

Expect to order two dishes if you are hungry. Food taste great,
but such small portions. Kinda makes you feel like Oliver and
ask for some more, please.

You automatically think Chinese food is greasy but not at Chiam.
Expensive and small servings but food is excellent here. Some
entre costs over $20. Dim lights create a romantic atmosphere.
