Vatan is gujarati resturant and best food i have eaten in North America.. Perfect ambience for romantic setting.. but u need to book in advance and till today i could never get in over the weekends without reservation..Have been there several times and would recommend any one to visit there.. Quantity's are huge in portions so i advice u watch out.:)

This restaurant serves a regional Indian food from the state of Gujarat in India (the Patels in the US are from this state). Not your stereotyped Indian food (it is a vegetarian restaurant so no tandoori chicken or chicken tikka masala). The food is authentic, unique and served in a setting meant to recreate an Indian village. They have very attentive servers. Definitely a must try experience if you want to explore more of Indian cuisine than your standard North Indian fare served in most Indian restaurants.

They server a fixed-price ($20 then) 4 course Gujarati Style Menu (atleast when I'd been there a year ago or so). It was quite simply the some of the Best Indian Food I've had in North America (that includes Toronto). If you haven't been there you're missing something!
