I have a lot of friends who swear by this place! I liked it. It's good
solid chinese food. Better than average and pretty authentic. Good
service with decent prices. I prefer Shanghia Joe's though.

Simply the best Chinese! I first came here at about 4:00am with a bunch
on knuckleheads after the bars closed in Jersey. I lost track of how
many people I've brought here since then who say it's the best
Chinese they ever had in their lives. Part of the appeal is the no frills
atmosphere, reasonable prices and the huge portions. You'll
almost always have to wait on line just to get in and that adds to the anticipation.
Parking will probably cost more than dinner. A real New York secret.
Keep it to yourself.

This is the greatest chinese restaurant I have ever eaten in in China
town. Wo Hop's food is the greatest. The prices are great, and the
service is excellent. Don't let the appearance ofthe restaurant
sway you, that is what makes it delicious. Thank you.

do you know how many people have been converted to liking chinese
food after visiting this hole in the one on mott street? Too many
too count. Its your neighborhood chinese place, not too glitzy,
a little rough around the edges, charming and the food is delicious.
Great food for a great price. And they have some damm awesome t-shirts.
I have been coming to this joint since I was 11 yrs old, and I haven't
been able to eat a dumpling that can compare since.

Very good overall; good sauces; standout: shanghai crispy fish
filet; shanghai beefsteak; usually crowded between 730pm and
830pm.

It looks like your normal neighborhood Chinese joint, with spare,
contemporary touches, a TV at the bar and Muzak in the background,
but it's remarkably highly rated for just about everything
on the menu. Tables are set with both chopsticks and flatware,
and prices are very modest in comparison to other restaurants
of its caliber. People especially gravitate towards the steamed
shrimp dumplings, wonton soup, beef with scallions and pickled
cabbage, crispy chicken with spinach, and citrus shrimp with
walnuts. The noodle dishes are also excellent. If you try out
Chin Chin, you'll find a restaurant that serves Chinese
cooking.

It is a true injustice that this resturant is not recognized as
the premier Chinese restaurant in NYC as it beats the food at higher
priced and more prestigious Chinese resturants by a mile and
that of the establishments in China town by the distance from
here to Asia. The ribs are amazing - lean, deliciously caramelized.
Every dish from the Grand Marnier shrimp to the Beef with Broccoli
to the specialty offerings is perfection. To boot, Nancy the
elegant owner and hostess will greet you as if you are family

Chinese version of a greasy spoon! Get good homestyle chinese
cooking for a good price. Your not paying extra to have plush surroundings,
but you came for the food right?
