My co-workers and I recently started coming here for lunch. I
think Hobby's easily rivals the NY kosher-style delis.
(It's kosher style, but you can get non-kosher products
like ham). The pastrami is excellent - very lean and piled high.
There are wonderful pickles generously placed on the tables.
The sandwiches are delicious, and if I order the soup and half-sandwich
combo, I wind up bringing home half the meat to eat the next day.
(Great soup, by the way).

I should point out that the decor is apparently unchanged from
the 50s or 60s, and I suspect the furniture remains whatever was
there from when it opened. In a way, it adds to the charm -you're
caught in a time warp.

One more note - Hobby's has been sponsoring "Send a
Salami to the Troops". For $10, they'll pack and ship
a salami to a battalion in Iraq.

A great little deli type restaurant that does catering. It caters
mostly to the office workers in the neighborhood, specializing
in breakfast and lunch to go, but has a decent sized eat in area.
Although they serve full course meals, no dinners to speak of
since most restaurants in the area close by 3:00 PM.
