I saw this place on the food network, so I figured since I was so close I should stop in and check it out...while the Ice cream is just a bit pricy I have to actually lean towards saying it's worth the price...

My wife and I were visiting Minneapolis last June and made it a point to visit this place just because we knew that it has been around for a long time. We were not disappointed. Yes, the ice cream is pricey but it is a neat place to visit!

If you like really good ice cream (who doesn't?) and like to eat it in a mom-and-pop owned place that has been around for a very long time, stop at this place!

Look out Big Chain Ice Cream stores, because Sebastian Joe's is on the grow. Their ice cream is incredible and guaranteed to satisfy everyone. Be prepared to wait, but definitely worth it.

Is a good place to go when you want a casual place to sit and chat for bit <smile> , or get your ice cream to go and take an old fashioned walk around the block! ... The staff is ALWAYS friendly! Want to get out of your vanilla/chocolate rut? ask for a sample!

This is a fantastic place for ice cream. It's got a wide selection of flavors and treats, the atmosphere is nice, and it is good and close to Lake of the Isles so you can walk off what you eat. The lines can get a bit long, but the staff is usually hardworking and fast and the wait is worth it.

Honestly one of the yummiest places in the cities...The ambience is perfect, and the ice cream is some of the best you'll ever taste.

Just recently found this place. It is an awesome place to go for a snack. Some of the best tasting ice cream I have found around the twin cities area.

I have lived in Minneapolis for several years and have not found a better cafe. The unique selection of ice cream creations will satisfy anyone. It's the perfect place to bring out-of-town

guests to get a true "flavor" of what Minneapolis has to offer.

There is a wonderful outdoor patio which is as quaint as it is

romantic. In fact, my fiancee, Sonja, loves to sit out there

and enjoy a couple milkshakes nearly every night.

Good coffee to get you going in the morning, or a nice ice cream snack in the evening.
They have wonderful brownies that you can get ice cream (vanilla) on top of and then hot fudge over that...Have 'em heat the brownies...to die for.
have only visited the one in Uptown, close to the lakes.

Great Ice cream, with very interesting flavor combination. The chocolate Coyote is outstanding if you can stand how spicy it is. Good coffee drinks and baked goods as well. The percentage off based on outside temperature is a good incentive to go in when it gets really cold. The outdoor seating is great on a hot summer night.

I Live In McDonald Ohio and I found out about your place because my brother Andy Adams worked there and I make it my main priority to stop in and get the best ice cream in the city. I will be moving there in a yere and I will probably get really fat from eating ice cream every night. This summer my friend Leslie and I will be visiting Minneapolis and you can bet we will be eating Sebastian Joe's ice cream.

The uptown location on Franklin has the cool crowd, 20 and 30-somethings with urban attitude. The Upton Ave. location is the young parents and lakes area couples enjoying a walk and a cone. Both are small shops with a lot of fun and THE BEST ice cream in the cities. Be brave and try something different, you will not be disappointed.
