You have to be a grouch not to like Jalisco's. It remains the neighborhood's
favorite restaurant. Families flock to it on Friday night. It
is the traditional taco, burrito, enchilada type of food- nothing
fancy, nothing "gourmet", although the chicken soup is surprisingly
good. Price+friendly family atmosphere=very good neighborhood
restaurant.

Good local neighborhood establishment. Lots of regulars. Even
when the line looks long, it doesn't take very long to get a table.
To update previous reviews, smoking is no longer allowed. no
margaritas, but still worth the trip. Food is sonsistently good.
Budget friendly and family friendly.

I've tried this old and popular Mexican restaurant
twice. Both times were a disapointment. Service was
poor both times whil obvious regulars nearby were
given excellent service. Food not nearly as good as
the average Mexican restaurant. Spices generally to
heavy-handed. Twice is enough. Once should have
been.

This is the epitomy of mexican restaurants. If you are in town
I highly suggest you come here to eat, if you are outside of
Atlanta, plan a trip here. I have been eating at this restaurant
for 15 years and am somewhat of a regular. The food and service
has been consistantly good and they serve the absolute best
cheese dip I have ever tasted. A fun place to eat lunch by
yourself one day during work, or a fun place to eat with your
family (even small children are welcome).

The food here is typical of Mexican establishments, which is
fairly good and inexpensive. But the part I liked most about this
place is the fact that the waiter always lit my cigarette and
drew a picture of Mexico on my miniature Etch-A-Sketch keychain.
