This is the sitdown restaurant located on the waterfront. Felt
that the food was not much better quality than what you can get
at the walkup counter outside, but the prices where 2x to 3x higher.
If you must sit inside and eat then go ahead, but if not, eat outside.

The fish bar out front would be a better shot at good food and actual
service. For 2 people spending nearly $50-$60 on dinner this
was a total waste. Not clean, no service, and the food was really
lacking, umm, flavor!

Ivar's is a must for the Seattle tourist. We loved the place, but
yes, you have to be a fish lover. That's the whole point. When you
go to Maine, eat lobster. In Seattle's waterfront, eat fish.
You're right near Pike Place. Go with it.

This restaurant should be visited for the tourist in Seattle.
The food is decent and the atmosphere is nice. With the restaurant
right on the waterfront some of the seats near the water make for
a very nice view. The appetizers wheren't so impressive but the
salmon entree was pretty tasty.

Previous reviewer apparently went for dinner - we went for lunch
and had a far different opinion. Two of us were not seafood lovers
and wanted a choice of something else. We ended up with club house
sandwiches with french fries. the bread on the sandwiches was
soggy and the fries were barely heated and tasteless besides.
The two who ate seafood enjoyed their meal. Would not recommend
for anyone who is not a fish eater!

My husband and I loved going in early to sit at the bar and nosh on
tidbits of this and that - especially the fried clams. The portions
are generous, and this is a fun place.
