As a bar, it's fabulous. Great old lounge atmosphere...a little
of Vegas or Atlantic City right in the TC. The piano bar and polka band
are both just a hoot and, let's face it: this place is a tradition.
Cheesy, but in a very good way. The food is another matter.
The polish specialties are excellent, but the place is just plain pricey,
too pricey for my tastes in this atmosphere. If you want a hilarious
fun place to drink, go to Nye's...but bring the checkbook.

5 stars says it all. GREAT atmosphere! Excellent food! Take the grandparents
and the "twenty-somethings". All are welcome and all will
have a great time. A true Minneapolis classic.

You haven't done the Minneapolis bar scene until you've
dropped in at Nye's, the unofficial night crawler's
gateway to Northeast. Top billing often goes to the near-legendary
Ruth Adams Polka Band in the tiny side section, but the real draw
is piano bar maven Lou Snider and her catalog of cheesy sing-along
lounge classics. If you want a turn on the mike, make sure you tip
well, and have at least two martinis on the way up. The vintage
booths must be seen to be believed, while the graying staff are
only as congenial as they have to be

If your idea of Polish heaven is a polka band from the sixties,
then this is the place for you. The atmosphere is straight out
of a longe movie, but the food is excellent. Good Polish food to
clog your arteries! A lot of fun.

Great Poland atmosphere. Authentic golaki (cabbage rolls)
and perogies. Service was very friendly and portions huge, just
like in Poland. Server met us in the parking lot to give us our leftovers
box that we forgot to take with us. Imported Polish beer - zywiec
and EB - and, of course, vodka. Steaks served with lots of butter
melting over the top, just like in Poland.
Not the nicest neighborhood - park right in front at the curb or
close to door in rear parking lot.
Great live polka-band music on weekends and lively crowd.

A little pricey for greasy polish food but the atmosphere is phenominal.
There is a piano bar and Nye's is home to the 'World's Scariest' Polka band.
Try the cabbage rools and perogies.
