I have a love and affinity for these burgers which is borderline obsessive
LOL While growing up in Tacoma I think I had my first Frisco Freeze burger
in the late 60's sometime. Then on in to high school it was a favorite
saturday night stop. The taste of those greasy onion cheese burgers
is to die for, and always washed it down with a choclate bannana malt,
man my mouth waters just thinking about it! I live in oklahoma now and
only get to the northwest every several years. But I can assure you within
24 hours of arrival its off to Frisco Freeze, hows that for priorities
LOL

My husband grew up in the area and was a former student of stadium high
school so he visited frisco freeze a lot. He kept telling me to go there
and try them out so after 4 years of being together. He finally dragged
me there tonight. and omg the food was sooooo good. I actually wanted
an ice cream cone he got the hamburger, fries, and onion rings the baby
ended up with the ice cream cone i took the meal left the husband hungry.
Definetly will go there again just to bad they dont have one in the everett
area.

Frisco Freeze burgers are a bit of an aquired taste. I grew up in
T town and went to Stadium High School class of 1965. Being a hot
rodder made it manditory to spend every night at the Freeze. I
love the burgers but friends from out of town don't seem all
that impressed. To hell with them; my tounge shouts out at least
a four star rating!

This is a Tacoma Landmark...The best greasy burger in town..And
the shakes are great too and a ton of flavors too.It does look like
Happy Days revisited but thats part of the charm.Been going here
for a very long time, since I was a kid...Just writing this makes
me want to go there today...Dbl cheese w/bacon and a shake, yum
yum....I think Im going to Tacoma today!!!

the burgers are the yummiest greasiest things i have ever had.
the milkshakes are awesome. dont be fooled by the appearance
on the outside.

First, the food is great. That is a given. The place would not be
open if not for that.

It is a small drive-in/walkup postal that seems as if it was left
from some Happy Days off-studio set. No that's not Fonnzy
you see over there, but it is surely some punk kid. For the most
part, its a great place. But, the dirt left in the place also reminds
me of Happy Days...30 years old.

Was intrigued by this landmark. Was in bad need of some
paint, but was very popular. Actually the burgers were fine.
There are no public restrooms that I could find, and on my search
for
relief I walked behind the freeze......... and OH my think someone
needs to clean this nasty mess up. All in all I will return
to this landmark for the burger, after all I can overlook
alot if the burger has the right grease to bun ratio.
Shredded lettuce, toasted bun , Mayo = Old Fashion American
Gut Bomb.
