My wife made a reservation for the two of us to have dinner at Anthony's
for New Year's Eve on December 3, 2009 through opentable.com.
We were informed on the 29th that our reservation had been canceled
because they were closed for a private party. I called to talk the manager
about the situation and see what could be done. I was informed that the
party was scheduled over a year ago and that it was just a computer problem
that happen sometimes. The person I was speaking with informed that
all that they could do was offer me a reservation for the 30th.

The food was outstanding, I had the best steak I have ever
eaten. Our server was professional and accommodating, he knew the
specails, and was attentive withoutbeing overbearing. Without a
doubt one of the finest dining experiences in Atlanta!

This is definitely not a place just to try on a whim. They are busy
and you may have to wait for a table, but let me tell you, it is worth
the wait. The food is like nothing I have ever experienced. Uniqueness
with every course. The fish dishes were fabulously prepared.

Reservations - definitely recommended!

Anthony's serves traditional favorites with regional
touches. Marked with thoughtful pairings, the menu is tarnished
only by a few mediocre dishes. Citrus-crossed crab cakes are
savory and rich with meat, but barbecue shrimp are bland. Golden
raisins and curry vinaigrette charge the baby spinach salad
with flavor and aroma; cognac-spiked bisque poured over tender
lobster claw is another tangy starter. Dayboat grouper is buttery
and flaky, but the taste of lobster in the smooth mashed potatoes
isn't distinct. Other favorites: the filet mignon and veal
scaloppini. Creamy creme brulee tops the desserts. Wines are
expertly chosen.

I think this place is a bit overpriced... it's hidden off
of Piedmont, so you have to keep your eyes peeled for their sign.
Parking is a nightmare. Overall, the food is good and it is a romantic
setting.

I was here for a winetasting and was blown away with how wonderful
their appetizers were. The chocolates were even better. The
best seats are on the veranda.
