WOW! We ate at this cute little place right across from the Phoenix in
by the Farmer's Market in downtown Olympia. What a great find!
The review in the newspaper gave it 5 forks, the best a restraunt can
get, and it lived up to the hype. I had the steak, my wife had the seafood
pasta, and the sides were great! We split the desert which came heated
with ice cream. Nice wine selection, and the waitress told us that next
week they will serve mixed drinks. We are going back for sure! Do yourself
a favor and eat here when in Olympia.

This little restaurant with zero curb-appeal knocked our socks off
from the minute we walked in the door. The sweet potato with curry soup
was FANTASTIC as was the seafood canneloni. Even the steamed veggies
has extra flare with the red pepper butter. The wine and beer list wasn't
very extensive, but the food was great (but a bit pricey). This place
is great, but you would never know it from the exterior. Don't let
that stop you from dining here!

The following 7 reviews are a joke! do not write a review if you have not
eaten there! if you write a review try to use proper english, mabye talk
about a dish you tried, it does not help if you are broad with you review.
try somthing like this. "Gardner's is a nice place, good
value, lots of food for the price. I had the halibut special for 38.00
it was topped with crab and a holindaise sauce, it was pretty big and
very tasty. It came with soup or salad and 2 sides. wine is reasonably
priced and they carry a good selection of local wines. For a business/restaurant
that has been in buseness for over 25 successful years i find it hard
to believe the reviews written below in Jan. 08. sorry but i think you
are wrong.

Wow, is is 3 stars....what a surprize! I gave this restaurant a try because
everybody in town says it is the best seafood restaurant, but I found
it otherwise. The foods weren't prepared by a professional cook, so
I see it. The vegetables had flavor in it but looked like it was from the
freezer or something, it might be the fresh vegetable but didn't
look and taste fresh or it might be over cook? The desert.....? The look
of those desserts....... very decoraging......... Service....?
friendly but not professional! The price were way too high for such
dishes.

This place isn't the greatest in dining. I see it as a family cooking
rather than a groumet restaurant.... when it is too busy expect a mess
presentation of your food. TWO THUMBS DOWN!

When you are from New York, the best seafood restaurant considers as
the worse than average restaurant. The presentation's rating
would be street artist. Self-satisfied or self-rated restaurant
but not to my taste and eyes. Don't waste your time and money. It is not what the people recomends.
Go to Portland or Vancouber BC to have a real food. Even in Seattle, it
is hard to find one fine dining, how could you find one in Olympia.

Worst among the fine dining. If the people really think this is the best
restaurant around Olympia, then none of the Olympian is really ever
had a real food.

The food was not as good as the reputation that I heard of. I concider
it lower than average. and the presentation was the worst among fine
dining. It is more like home cooking than a groumet restaurant. I am from New York and have never trust the local review for any restaurant
but last month I wanted to give it a try since most of the people said it
is the best Seafood Restaurant in Olympia. Wow, I spent $100 for nothing....
unsatisfied.....That why I decided to spent more than #2, 000 to bring
my husband to Las Vegas only to show him the REAL FOOD. Gardner's
food only worth 1/3 of it price.
