The timber mine is a wonderful steakhouse, and certainly the
best in the Ogden area. When Karl Malone used to play for the Jazz,
he has been spotted there numerous times, so you might even get
to see him there! Beyond that, good service, fun atmosphere (you
eat in a "mine shaft"), and reasonably priced considering
the food you get.

The Timbermine is considered one of the best steak houses in the
Ogden area and I agree completley. With a fun minning atmosphere
it is a great place to impress a date or get a slab of meat and a beer
with the boys. The food is excellent even if you dont like beef,
there chicken entrees are just as good. The freindly service
is the iceing on the cake for this highley recomended restaurant.

Another fun place to have a good steak when in Ogden. There is plenty
of tables and booths available, so even a short wait is worth it.
The food here is darned good, with the steaks being my favorite...

good steak place, and what an atmosphere you actually get to set
in a mine with water running and all, while you wait to be seated
you are offered cocktails and appetizers, when seated you are
in a private booth, with adjustable light for a bright lit family
night out, or dimmed romantic night for the two of you. Food is
MOST excellent, i reccomend the deep fried mushrooms myself,
but its all great. enjoy, this is upperclass, their is also a formal
dining room if the mine is not what your looking for, it sets right
at the mouth of a mountain canyon and the surroundings are great.

A restaurant fortunate enough to have excellent chefs. They
deliver your steak exactly how you asked for it.
The staff are attentive without being obtrusive. The atmosphere
is intimate without being overbearing.

This is an excellant restaurant!!! I love a good steak house and
this is one to go to! The cuts are superb and cooked exactly the
way you want them. (They know what medium rare is supposed to be!)
The decor reminds a lot of people of the prarie schooner but there
are enough differences for you to soon get over that. his is the
place to bring that person you want to WOW. Bring the In-laws here,
they will be talking about it even after they go home.
