Jack's Original BBQ has been hands-down the best old-fashioned
barbeque joint in Tucson, and assuming that Jack's can compete
with the big bbq chains coming to town lately, they will probably
always fit an important bbq niche. On a bad day, Jack's beef
brisket is the best I have ever tasted, and the baked beans are
simmered to perfection.

This is just simple GREAT barbeque. Everything on the menu is
great. It is a nice family spot at very reasonable prices. While
there is a dinning room we prefer to take a big order home.

Jack's barbeque brings back the essence of childhood family
cook-outs as soon as you breeze through the door. The the solid
front door and construction of the building tends to make it appear
more like a gun and ammunition store at first glance, once inside,
it's worth checking out. Although the variety at this restaurant
isn't to phenomenal, what they do have is delicious and just enough
for barbeque fans. They also sell meats by the pound, do custom
barbequing and offer full service catering! A winner in my book,
a great place to take the family or just to run in for a quick bite
to eat.

This restaurant is rated #1 in the nation for Barbeque (1999 Zagat
Survey), and the rating is arguably worth it. The place is homey,
friendly, and pretty fast. The food is superb, with a spicy, sweet
barbacue sauce, and a wide variety of choices, as well as daily
specials. The best thing I've had there (I eat there often) is
the sloppy joes, sliced beef, and the combo beef/pork sandwiches.
The beans are to die for and the spicy fries are very good too. There
are a lot of good barbecue places in Tucson, but I think Jack's
is in the top 1 or 2, depending on what you're going for (I personally
like Damon's baby back pork ribs, for example--yes, even though
it's a chain!).

There are some places that are famous....
This place should be up there with some of the best. They have incredible
sandwich meat for pork sandwiches and their barbeque sauce is
good and spicy. I love their hot links. The outside seating is
very nice, and they have lots of variety for a pretty small price.
I suggest getting a bunch of things and taking them home for a family
feast, or getting one of their combos for a sit-in lunch. The best
barbeque in Tucson....
