Good food and healthy. This place is normally busy. So, if you want something healthy and good tasting for little money this place is for you.

With several locations in the valley, The Blue Burrito Grille is one, if not the best HEALTHY Mexican food grille's. Thats right "HEALTHY". No MSG's no Lard!! The brains brhind this healthy mexican food is none other than resturante guru Lenny Rosenberg ( Lenny no longer is the owner). Lenny has made his mark in the valley with several resturauntes like the 5 and Diner and a few others. The Blue Burrito Grille has several different items on its menu that have been approved by the Heart Smart Association of America to have less fat and cholesterol than normal foods of this type. Low fat sour cream, chicken, fish, low fat cheese, and light cooking oil are among some of these healthy fiids. And don't worry about the taste, because the flavor is not lost. It tastes no differant. But don't expect to get some refried beans here. Only Black beans served here. The Blue Burrito Grille is, in my opinion, the best fast Mexican food in the valley. Try it today.

This place has the BEST and by far the healthiest mexican food! The menu has icons to tell you which selections are especially heart healthy (low fat cheese & sour cream, etc.) I discovered it by accident while working nearby...and was quickly hooked. The burritos are HUGE (no joke) so you better be hungry, or bring a buddy to share with. The mexican pizza is also quite good. Good drink specials as well. A cute extra touch: tri-colored tortilla chips with your order :)

Healthy Mexican food, what a concept! But they pull it off and you will like it! Prices are good, service can be slow when it gets busy around the lunch hour, but a value nonetheless!

My Tamale wasn't blue!!! I want a refund!!!! just kidding, i loved the food at the Blue Burrito grille. I was lucky enough to come at a time that wasn't incredibly busy. They do have blue tortilla chips, to satisfy the color in their name. I did not feel that this place was all that yuppie or incredibly upscale... They were trying to cater to a specific crowd for sure, but I'm not sure that it was yuppies. The food was fairly authentic, and I was amazed that they prepared it so well. Normally when I eat Mexican the experience includes quite a lot of grease!!!! I Love the Blue Burritto grille, and I will return when I am in the Phoenix area....

Good food. This location is very busy at lunch time. They have made mistakes on orders a few times. The food tastes great.

Definitely `good for you' Meixican selections without the grease, however, still all the taste you desire. Location being only 1/2 North of the Biltmore area does seem to cater to the X-generation; especially the lunch time crowd. Their best seem to be the chicken burritos, fish tacos, enchilados rancheros, tamales, a vegetatrian buritio and the specialty: Blue Corn vegetarian tacos. No reservations so it's best to go early or late for lunch, but usually dinner is not a long wait. Treat yourself to Mexican that won't break your budget or hurt your waistline. Not as thrilling as a big chimichanga, but an excellent choice for concerned with a healthy resaurant food.
