Granted, this has been a landmark establishment, but you would think
they would pride themselves on something, other than that. The food
was clearly not spectacular and the service was NOT there. Generally,
one will compensate for the other in places like this, but I would not
recommend to anyone to waste their time or money unless you have nothing
better to do. Their steak was dry and everything was considered extra.
Even tried to give the benefit of the doubt and went back for their Thanksgiving
special. Another waste of time and money. You would get more money for
a Swanson frozen turkey dinner than you did here for $20.00. It was so
bad, I wasn't even willing to spend an extra $2 for a piece of pumpkin
pie...figured I wasted enough money already.

Hey, this place has been in business for over 100 years, so they
must be doing something right...

First of all this restaurant should be listed under steakhouse.
As for the food, overpriced, the service, mediocre. People think
that just because they have expensive steaks, their going to
be good. Wrong.

A good but limited wine list. The jalapeno poppers were
very good as an appetizer. The prime rib was cooked to
perfection. Best of all, they had pure horseradish (not the
creamy tasteless stuff). The house salad left a lot to be
desired. The cheesecake desserts were tasty.
