This is one of my all time favs in NO. You need reservations for sure, but its worth the price and wait. Its one of the best meals I have ever had and you can get all kinds of tastes of NO and creole cookin.

We dined here during Mardi Gras, which was both good and bad. Good because the atmosphere was fabulous; bad because everyone else was there for Mardi Gras. It was loud and crowded, but so awesome because we were all there to celebrate. The food was incredible, the service was pretty good considering the sheer amount of people there.

If you enjoy the hustle and bustle of big city life then you will enjoy the sights and sounds of NOLA. If you seek a more peaceful dining environment, NOLA is not a good choice.
My husband and I dined there on Monday, August 1. We both had the taste of NOLA -- 4 courses with 3 wine pairings. Food was very good and the wine choices were pleasant. Service was attentive but some of the courses lagged -- probably due to a very busy kitchen. Conversation is diffcult due to noise and close proximity to other diners. The term "organized chaos" comes to mind to describe the overall experience.

The wild side of Emeril. Cerainly a loud and wild atmoshpere. Nothing quaint about it. Make reservations in advance. Expect big crowds, do not worry. The food will ease your mind the second you take a bite off your plate. Incredible!

The food is great as Emerill has done at all his restuarants but it really is very crowded and very loud. Try the NOLA lemonade if you are waiting to be seated and all your anxieties will disappear.

I love the restaurant! I would go here as often as possible. Unfortuantely, unless you make reservations 3 months in advance, you're not getting in. This is a LOUD, and CROWDED place, so if you're looking for romantic and quaint. Don't go here. BUT, if you're looking for a great experience with great food, and you like Creole, then this is the place to be.

The first time I went to New Orleans, I wanted to try an Emeril Lagasse restaurant. Since I was staying in the French Quarter, it made sense to try NOLA. So I did, and I've been back every time I go to New Orleans. NOLA is actually named after the native nomenclature for New Orleans, Louisiana. But forget about the name, the food's the thing here. Whether it's Emeril's take on cajun and creole cuisine, or just his own creations, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. It just depends on what you're in the mood for. I've tired of Emeril's schtick, but the food at NOLA is consistently excellent.
The first time, I was seated at the bar near the wood-fired pizza oven. While watching the chefs skillfully assemble and cook pizzas, they made one for us without ordering one. Since we could see every meal coming out of the kitchen, I changed my mind with every passing plate. The last meal I saw before the server took our order is what I ended up getting. Lunches cost half of dinner entrees, so if you're cost conscious, go there for lunch instead of dinner.

Our first experience with Emeril's restaurants was here, and it blew us away. The elevator to the main dining area is unique. Service is excellent, and the staff is very attentive. Very busy, so make reservations. I can't even describe how good the food was. Our experience here led us to visit as many of Emeril's restaurants as possible every chance we get.

I have dined here twice with high expectations each time. I have been disappointed twice now. This is one of the LOUDEST and most CROWDED restaurants that you will ever see. It actually affects how much you can enjoy your dinner, or even just hear your waiter. I am not exaggerating when I say that there will be people jammed against your table and waiters' rear ends brushing your table if you are unfortunate enough to sit near almost any walkway. The food is good, but it is a bit overpriced perhaps. The overall dining experience is not up to the hype that you will hear about this place. As with any place in the French Quarter, do not drive to the restaurant itslef of course.

I dine at NOLA whenever in New Orleans. Reserve early or you'll be disappointed. Great service and top notch food. The BBQ shrimp appetizer with the sweet potato/pecan pancake is a true delight!!! You must dine here!!

Ate at NOLA for lunch 3 times on a business trip. Everything that I ate was fantastic. Had reservations the first

two times. On the third, the hostess recognized that I'd dined

there twice already that week. My companion and I were seated

almost immediately with no reservation. The Roasted Garlic-

Reggiano Bisque with Focaccia croutons was to die for! The filet

mignon with fried oysters was divine. And the cashew brittle

cheesecake with peach compote is the best dessert I've had in

a long time. My only complaint is that the restaurant was FREEZING on my second visit. Service was slow but attentive.

They let us take our time. Every mouthful of food had a different sensation! Don't miss NOLA.

Could not get resevations quick at Emeril's so we took NOLA and very happy too. I had a steak, thought it was too big to eat but it was so good I ate the whole thing. Others had the fish on wood, nice too but I liked the steak. The service was great, the location is tough to park, but the view into the kitchen very interesting. A bit crowded but all in all I could go back weekly if someone else pays.
