There are now two locations for Honey Bear's Barbeque and the
one on Central is in a generally safer neighborhood. I like it
because it is close to both the Arizona Mall and the new entrance
to the Heard Museum. 'Que is the play, and you can't go wrong with
the ribs and chicken, brisket, cow 'bro beans, and peach cobbler
for a classic desert. There's a take out menu, and I was so impressed
with the reasonable prices and nice, tangy sauce that I had to
stop in for a second meal on my way to the Sky Harbor airport. They
also have cheese steak sandwiches and other offerings, and advertise
that "you don't need no teeth to eat their meat". It's true. It's
authentic. You'll love it.

You want barbeque? You need Honey Bears! The greatest barbeque
this side of Kansas City! Don't let the outside of the building
fool you. There is a BBQ kingdom inside! The BBQ Prok Sandwiches
are to die for. They deliver so you can be in heaven at work. Highly
recommend!

Although it doesn't look that appealing from the outside, the
food was great. I had the BarBQ beef sandwich, seasoned fries
and coke. It tasted great, had a definite tang and required lots
of napkins. The service was fast and the people working there
were fun to be with.

Great pork sandwiches. My favorite used to be the pig sandwich at Hard Rock
Cafe but now it's Honey Bears. The one on Central has A/C but it crowded at lunch
during the week. Oh, and you always see police officers there for lunch and
such. Now that's a good sign.
Try the peach cobbler, too.

In Kansas City you go to Arthur Bryants for BBQ. In Dallas, it's Sonny's. In Phoenix, it's Honey Bears. My husband proposed to me over their BBQ pork, he was so happy! (Well, there is more to the story, but this isn't about me...) I usually do take out from there and I'll probably go get some when I get offline!

Great BBQ, and hot links! Try the "Cow Bro Beans.." No A/C
so it's hot and crowded, but worth it.
