Back again for Mardi Gras...first time back since Katrina...NO still
rocks, and Acme is still the best...one dozen oysters on the half shell
every night...my only regret was that I bought my coming home oyster
po' boy at the airport....DON'T! Even thought it says Acme
Oyster & Seafood House...the one at the Airport does not compare
in quality to the one in the quarter...get your po' boy in town,
ask them to wrap it up for traveling...and take it onboard for dinner.
If your in the quarter this is an excellent place to go for oysters
on the half shell - Superb, cold, freshly open delight of the sea!
You can also get excellent poorboy sandwiches here. Great very
friendly service - You'll leave here with a smile!
I don't care what you order here it is going to be good...fun
wait staff....we settled on their Oyster Po boy's as our
signature dish here at the Acme....in fact, I came here just before
we got in our taxi to catch our plane back to the SF Bay area to get
two take out Oyster Po Boy's for on the plane...the combination
of us with the Po Boys and the thro's around our necks...we
had one fine trip home...
first time ive ever had crayfish, liked them.
good people, service was ok, and drinks and food were priced right!

The ultimate NOLA bar food experience. You?re socks aren?t going
to get knocked off here, but we?re not talking about Galatoire?s.
The food is above average for bar food, the service is what you?d
expect for a bar, and the atmosphere is just plain fun. There isn?t
a line out the door most nights for nothing?
Excellent raw oysters...or seafood in general. Fried
seafood: oysters, shrimp, catfish are all done well. Try
their combination plate for a good taste of NOLA
specialties. Worth a try!
