$9.99 for nightly special of ribs and pulled pork with 2 sides! Can't
beat that!! We also tried the corn chowder this time - which was really
good! Big beers for $5 - we love this place!

Again - we came - we ate - we left happy - VERY happy! Had the small pulled
pork sandwhich at lunch - they are very busy at lunch - but service still
good and friendly. We are staying around the corner from this little
gem and it's hard to resist going there every day! Nice BBQ sauce
- good cole slaw - cold drinks - it's worth the trip!

I agree this is a "will be back" kind of place! When they say
fall off the bone tender they mean it! 3 meat combo with 1/4 rack ribs
was enough for 2 people and the sides are all you can eat. Pinto beans
and fried okra was very good.

Loved the food and service was stallar. the ribs were tender and moist
and all sauce was to be added after they are served. that way you can try
all the diff sauces and have the best of all worlds

In the never ending quest for the "best places to enjoy BBQ
ribs" this definitely makes the "will come back again
list".
<br>
Despite zeroing in on rib options, the menu appears to have quite
a selection and I noticed people at the tables around me appeared
to be enjoying their food.

Leave the knife and fork at home and dig in!

Although the entrees as well as the side dishes such as the cowboy
beans and the cole slaw are very good, their salsa tastes like
it has started to go bad. On weekend evenings the place is a hangout
for bikers so don't plan on a family atmosphere at those times.
It IS a very good place for lunch.

As you walk into Waldo's, you will notice the quirky signs and
t-shirts that are a paen to pigs and barbecue. My favorite is the
"patron saint of barbecue, " a boar's head with a shriner's hat
hanging on the west wall. Say "hi" to the servers: Bridgette,
Sherri, and Ceri have been there a long time. You'll have to shout,
because Waldo's is loud and crowded. Screaming kids would not
pierce this din.
Now, Arizona is not known for its barbecue, so all further comments
have to be taken in that light. (It might be the best in Mesa, but
the worst in Kansas City or Memphis.) The smoked and pulled meats
are all pretty good. The Jalapeno Cornbread is great. The Hoseradish
Spuds don't have enough flavor. The Corn on the Cob is deep-fried
(!?!). The Ribs fall off the bone. (Order at least the children's
Beef Short Rib plate to get a sampling.) The prices do the food
justice.
I might just have to recommend the Belly Buster. For 30 dollars,
you get 1 pound ...

Great barbecued food at good prices. Service is sporadic. Don't
