The food is simply too big. Its ok to good... but not worth it the
second day. Oh, and the wait is way to long.

haha.. this is the place that I visited really frequently when
I lived in california. I must have come here three hundred times.
I thought this place was sent straight from heaven.
Of course, I was 19 years old at the time.
Claim Jumper is famous for its large portions (which have shrunk
slightly over the last 5 years.. as its prices have grown.) There
is nothing special about the food. Its good and consistent. Very
good bar. As a whole, its more trendy than it used to be. Overall,
you will be happily satisfied if you come to CJs with $30 and an
appetite.
I recommend as an appetizer the Irish Nachos, which aren't on
the menu anymore. As a main course, I order something different
every time. Most everything is good. The service depends on which
server you get. And the country music's volume is quiet enough
that you can easily tune it out.

One of the best restaurants in Southern California. Great atmosphere,
with great people. The service is excelent considering the number
of people who frequent the restaurant. Great drink listing with
over 100 specialty drinks. The food is outstanding. My personal
favorites are the baby back ribs, and the chicken fried steak.
Both are delicious, and well worth the price. I give this place
the highest possible rating, and as a lover of food, I give CJ 2
forks up!

ironically, 1 of the best parts 'bout cj's is the salad bar. it's
got all sorts of stuff n' is all.u.can.eat... yes, "quantity"
is what claim jumper is all 'bout. well, i won't say they sacrifice
2 much quality, but many of my friends prefer tony roma's ribs.
ribs n' chicken r good @ cj's. the "i declair" is a good dessert.
proudly, i have, in the past, finished a whole meal @ cj's. many
ppl can't do that, u know. ha ha. neway, cj's is okay. a place to
go w/ a big group of friends who wanna drink n' eat a lotta meat!

Incredible portions of food. This is really a steakhouse type
of restaurant with locations all over Southern California.
A favorite hangout for the younger set. They are a little pricey,
but the abundance of food per entree justifies it. Definitely
not the place to go when on a diet.

This is an overall excellent restaurant. You can get almost anything
on the menu and not be dissappointed. The portions are huge and
the food tastes great. i will not go anywhere alse if I am really
hungry and want dinner and dessert. I recomend the deep dish pie
(berry) and the bread pudding.

Actually 3 1/2 to 4 stars, just to avoid grade inflation.
Good sandwiches and wood-fired pizzas and GENEROUS
portions. You will take food home with you (unless you
order a pizza). For pizza I recommend the 4 cheese pizza,
and for a sandwich I recommend the roast beef dip. It's
like a regular beef dip sandwich but they slip a large
ortega chili in there that really jazzes up the taste.
