I really enjoy going here. On one side (of the pier), its an oyster bar. Get a half-dozen oyster shooters, a beer, sit back and chill with some of your friends. Watch the surfers, get a tan. ahh.. the bar is nice. The other side is a restaurant with very good food. The prices aren't bad, and you get the same nice view (although no surfers are allowed south of the pier.)

Ah, an escape destination indeed! This lovely establishment offers a great restuarant on one side of the pier, and a casual bar experience on the other. Situated on the San Clemente pier, the Fisherman's is a wonderful way to entertain friends and family, or take the Boss out for the after work nosh and cocktail. Catch a sunset drink summer or winter (outside heaters make it even more enjoyable) of the usual, or try one of their one creations of drinks cleverly named after popular surf breaks around town (try the Trestles, or Bone Yard). Over all a great time. Spent many an August afternoon, walking the pier, and overlooking the surfers catching the last few waves, while eating mussles and quaffing down a beer as the distant clickity-clack and blowing horn of the Amtrak pass in the background.
