Although this place WAS small they have recently expanded their
dining area. I consider this the 2nd best Cuban Cuisine San Diego
has to offer. Their is another place in Old Town that is a little
better but you will pay a lot more. I highly recommend getting
a Guanabuana Shake. Its made with the South America Guanabuana
Fruit and you can get it nowhere else in San Diego that I know of,
its very good. The chicken and rice dish and the black bean soup
is also excellent here. Best time to visit is lunchtime.

They also have an interesting Cuban History display next to the
bathrooms where you can learn more about Cuba and its customs.

Very good! A family restaurant in the finest sense. I have enjoyed
everything I've had here. The rice and beans are done to perfection.
Be sure to check out the soups of the day. The flan is one the best
in town and I'm very picky about flan. I particularly recommend
the lunch menu as the diner menu is more formal.

Atmosphere a little cramped. Delicious safran rice and garlic
bread. Good service. A little too much rice and not enough meat
and salad for the price - but I would recommend it for a different
experience in taste.
