This place is a white table-cloth fine dining establishment. Don't
be misled though, there is usually always live music and it's a
very fun place as well. The founder, Jazz great Jim Croce, hosts a slew
of great performers including a young Frank Sinatra tribute band that
I would highly recommend. You can get better food elsewhere in the gaslamp
but for the price and the entertainment it makes a great place to take
a date.

Great food and entertainment. You will have to drop a few bucks, but
won't regret a moment. Live music adds to the appeal, but you would
go for the food alone. Bring someone you really want to enjoy an evening
with.

Thought that this place was a great little find! It came highly recommended
by local friends and we were not disappointed! Although it was more
than we usually like to spend on dinner we felt the music made the experience
well worth cost.

In 1985, Chef/Owner Ingrid Croce opened Croce's Restaurants
and Bars as a tribute to her late husband singer/songwriter Jim
Croce. Today this "must visit" San Diego landmark
not only recreates the warmth and energy from their days of performing
together, but it continues to infuse great food and live music
in a uniquely warm and inviting atmosphere.

Really trendy place to be on Thur-Sat nights. Sit outside and
really enjoy the experience and people walking by. The piano
bar is really enjoyable, relaxing and fun. Food is solid, but
overpriced. Go on a Sunday when Croce is in town for a great musical
treat!!!

Very good food, but I agree: It's going to cost you. Dinner
for 2, is easily over $100, if you have some wine with your meal;
as well as Coffee and Dessert. But, that is pretty typical for
Resturants in the Gaslamp quarter.
There is a small bar, that is just to the side of the Resturant.
They have incredible jazz musicians playing there, on most nights.
I suggest, eat somewhere that has better food for the price, then
go to the Bar, to have a drink; and hear some great Music.

This is a little yuppie place in the gaslamp district that has
a really good chef. The food is great and the ambiance is wonderful.
You can choose to sit on the patio to eat or inside where you will
hear music and see the many photos of Croce himself.
