Very cozy, excellent place for some good ol fashioned italian food. It is one of our favorite ethnic resturaunts around. The wine is wonderful.

You know you are at a good restaurant if the local police are dining there.
Palermo is securely stapled to the Los Angeles dining scene. No place stands in comparison.
I and many of my friends have been to Palermo many times. We go for the incredible pizza, but I here they also make a great lasagna.
The atmosphere is busy. Palermo is not a secret to locals. You almost always have to wait, but no more than a few minutes. While you wait you are even offered free glasses of wine to hold you over. The maitre 'd is wonderful. The dining area is fairly bright and unorganized. There is alot going on here. Not very romantic; more like family friendly Italian. What does it matter. I go for the food.
The parking is a problem with no solution. Generally, I do not pay for valet parking when the valets are in the very parking lot that they park the cars in. Especially, $5-10 valets. So, I spend many, many minutes driving around looking for a space in this very congested residential/commercial area of Los Feliz. There are many nearby bars, restaurants, and a movie theater so parking options are slim. But Palermo is still worth the anxiety.

Excellent restaurant, entress reasonably priced, and the food
is absolutly outstanding, even with a long wait the kitchen
never seems illprepared, and the food is always hot and fresh,
The service is outstanding also almost on par with restaurants
like Monterray Bay. The atmosphere is also very elagent, but
also very warm and welcoming, Probably my favorite restaurant
in the area, don't go for cheap, bad, pseudo-italian food
thought. If you want good food service and ambiance, go here
you will love it.

This is a great restaurant! Large dining room, funky decor, kid-friendly, noisy, you can draw on the paper over the tables. They give you a jug of wine when you sit down, they charge you by how many glasses you have. Large plates of food, even the salads. Sumptuous pastas with heaping amounts of seafood on top. Save room for dessert! Tiramisu, Apple Crumb, Chocolate Mousse Cake...Enjoy!

I was a frequent consumer of the delicious food which Palermo's serves, so I was used to eating what I consider to be the best pizza anywhere. Having been to 48 out of 50 states, I feel qualified to make that statement. This is the best pizza you will find

One of those restaurants that are a total experience. Good service, ambiance, food - at a reasonable price. The fair is basic southern Italian - no surprises - but well done. On Friday and Saturday nights it's crowded and there's a party atmosphere. You won't mind the wait because the people wathching is so entertaining. The Silverlake/East Hollywood crowd there is sort of like the Melrose crowd without the layers of sheek, psuedo-hip affectation. I recommend the Pizza Rosa for Pizza lovers. it's unique.

I found this restaurant by chance one evening, and upon entering my boyfriend and I were happy with our choice. The interior was pleasantly decorated and busy with people enjoying their dinner. It's always a good sign when you enter a full restaurant. The service was great-- we were given complementary drinks and bread, and our waiter was quick and attentive. The food was simple but good(I recommend the ravioli), and the atmosphere was great.

A local institution, very popular. Best pizza in Los Feliz, fun atmosphere. Other menu items very good. While waiting for your table grab a glass of wine (75 cents) and hang out in the foyer or on the street. Very popular Friday nights especially with the gay crowd and Great Autos of Yesteryear, the gay car club. Also popular with cops. Between the gays and the cops, you know it's got to be good!
