I have tried about 75% of the menu and only have been disapointed by a chili chicken burrito. Part of the appeal is the place but the dogs are great.

Everyone has talked enought about the dogs, so I would like to add that a place that actually has Orange Crush, Grape Crush, and Strawberry Crush is a great traditional place to eat.

This is one quintessential example of “eating the menu”. It is the scene there, the status, the event, the “being there” of Pink’s that makes people think that the food is so good. It is not that good! Not to mention the fact that when one waits in line for something like food, the anticipation increases the appetite, as you have to wait to satisfy your already primed hunger. Other than that, the dog and the bun are identical to any boiled hot dog and cheap white bread bun you can get anywhere. The saving grace is that they serve so many of them that the dogs don’t have time to sit in the pot and get waterlogged and soggy. That is why they taste pretty good – they are freshly cooked. The chili is average. It is watery and has way too much corn meal or other extender in it for my taste. There are much better hot dogs to be had.

Was told I MUST MUST MUST go here next time I was in LA to get a hot dog, and I'm so glad I did. I seldom eat them, but this place makes me want to have more! Line was rather long, but well worth the wait. We had chili dogs and onion rings...to die for! GO!

EXCELLENT hot dogs!! The line wasn't too bad either. We probably waited 10 minutes or so to order. I recommend the Mulholland Drive dog and the chili cheese fries. The only downer was that they were out of onion rings.
