Was great but the restaurant is now gone and has been replaced
by an excellent Thai restaurant called Thai Delight.

This food is quite authentic, except the tandoori prawns, which
are more Indian than Nepalese. If you like firey, spicy food,
then Nepalese cauisine is not for you. If, however, you want a
good sampling of food from the Himalayan Kingdom, then give Kathmandu
West a try.

Food is average and leaves a lot to be desired. Would be okay for
someone who likes bland food. Service and ambience are good.

We were totally unsatisfied. The dishes were exceptionally
bland (perhaps thats how Nepali food is ;-)) and the potions weren't
very large. If you like Indian food, I would strongly recommend
that you do not try this restaurant.

I was very disappointed here. The portions are small, and the
price atrocious; and while the menu may sound exotic, the food
is not. Quality of cooking is very uneven.

Nepalese cuisine is very interesting. Indeed, while they it
uses spices similar to Indian cuisine, the taste is different.
Service at the restaurant is good, and the food is tasty though
not even close to hot. Also, they have a tendency to use too much
salt. The portions they save are VERY SMALL by American standards,
and this is a big disincentive.
I would call the restaurant overpriced for the quality and quantity
of food it serves.

Another great find in Cupertino. Excellent service and terrific
food at very reasonable prices. Not as spicy as Indian food with
all the flavor. We eat there at least a couple of times a month.

Really enjoyed eating here. The decor was absolutely
lovely, with very detailed wall hangings. Wonderful
atmosphere. It was our first time, so we ordered the
Hermit's Feast - both vegetarian and carnevors version -
both were excellent. The Charo Ko Ledo Sekuwa was my
personal favorite ( I substituted for the combination that
came with the Hermit's Feast), but my stepson loved the
combination.
My husband loved the vegetarian version, and even my 8 year
old raved about the dahl. We will definately be going back
- soon.

I found this place a few years ago, and still rate it as one
of the best restaurants in the area.
Portions can be somewhat small, but the food is excellent.
For anyone who hasn't experienced Nepali food, it's like Indian,
but without the strong spices. Most dishes are fairly mild,
but extremely flavorful.
Favorites are the Charo Ko Ledo Sekuwa and the Mismas Sekuwa,
but we have tried many of the dishes and all were good.
Lunchtime buffet it good, but unfortunately my favorites are
not normally on the menu!
If you like mango lassie, try it here, it's pretty good:-)
