The place is super clean, I have been going to this place for years.
Not your typical fast
food. The fries are big and the burgers are very tasty. They prepare
everything a lot better than the Burger king and other fast food
joints around the area. If you love burgers you gotta taste the
food here. This place has other food then burgers of course. The
food is great for the prices they got. Check it out. Its the best,
Debbie

I used to go to this place 25 years ago when Al ran it. I was amazed
to find that's it's still open at the same location.
It has not changed a bit in all these years. The old menu on a board
still demands one to "order by number!" The burgers
remain large, juicy, perfect creations of home ground meat.
The potato salad found on the "buffet bar" also remains
the best potato salad (perfectly laced with horseradish and
based on homemade mayo) I have ever eaten in my life. Forget the
messy industrial burgers at Tommy's (come on, how can that
be considered the best in LA), this is the true place for a perfect
gourmet burger.

Cassell's Hamburgers is a Southern California classic. Once
owned by a gentleman
named Cassell (Mr. Al Cassell to those of us who actually knew
him), Cassell's
was Al's dream come true. The hamburgers and other grilled sandwiches
are still
prepared on a griddle that Al's designed and had built, so the
preparation is
indeed unique. While I don't get to the Los Angeles very often
any more, whenever
I'm in the area you'll find me enjoying a great burger (and all
of the wonderful fixings)
at Cassell's...
