Joe's is casual and cool,
with a comfortable patio that overlooks the huge "beach"
playground and a lively bar that's usually filled with couples
waiting their turn to pound on Joe's yummy stone crabs. Kids
get a kick out of the energetic waitstaff, who often dance on the
tabletops to Jimmy Buffett tunes. Joe's offers plenty of
menu choices for mom and dad, while serving the basics on any kid's
diet: corn dogs, burgers, chicken fingers, mac 'n'
cheese

In 1977, Jim Goode opened his first restaurant, near downtown.
But Goode hit upon a winning combination of authentic Texas barbecue
and caring service. That first cafe has grown into four restaurants
under the Goode Co. banner. Even though Goode has since added
burgers and seafood to his lineup, barbecue remains the company's
mainstay. At Goode Co., the barbecue is slow-cooked for 16 hours,
making it mouthwatering tender. Then it's topped with a
delicious sauce bursting with smoky, tomato flavor. Sausage
(from a well-guarded recipe), fresh pies and bread are made daily,
including a Goode Co. exclusive: jalapeno cheese bread.

The atmosphere is basic Texana. A cafeteria style serving line
snakes through an old barn building jammed with Texas memorabilia,
historic photos, and mounted cow heads. There isn't much
seating but most folks head out for the patio anyway. And now there's
the Goode Co. BBQ Hall of Fame with cooking tools, sauces, m ...

Whatever your favorite seafood, this is the place to eat. My favorite
is always shrimp (fixed anyway possible). Be sure to try their
gumbo because it has lots of fresh seafood in it and the flavor
is incredible. Excellent service, friendly staff and lots of
fun for everyone.

as some shrimp dishes...they don't skimp on using fresh
seafood that is of good value...and it is a good atmosphere...check

At one time this place was every bit as anonymous as its older brother
(Goode Company Barbeque)was famous...not any more. GC Seafood
has just about everything you'd want in a seafood restaurant
(the entree portions seemed to have gotten smaller, thought).
The weekends are busy, but they've recently added another, more
upscale version near Memorial City Mall on the Katy Freeway.
It's good too, even if it doesn't have railcars.

Tucked away a little north of Highway 59 is this gem of a seafood
place. It has your above average seafood fare served in a affordable
range. The whole decor of the place is kind of a Gulf Coast theme.
at least you know you are in a seafood restaurant. On item serve
with your food that I found in no other place is a little seafood
turnover. Kind of a flaky pastry with a filling of shrimp veggies,
etc. It's worth a try.

for the money there is no better seafood in town. Wait on the weekends
is a little long, But that only shows how good the food is.

Ok, I don't know what was wrong with the other reviewers, but I love this restaurant!
It has some of the, if not the best seafood that I have ever had! In season, the
crawfish are excellent, and very spicy. It is usually jam-packed on the weekends,
but if you are nice and polite, they tend to make exceptions on the wait.
