Just finished dinner at one of the coziest, comfortable &
beautiful restaurants in Castle Rock. Started with very tender
calamari with a great dipping sauce. My husband had a Caesar salad
which was also very good. We had the lamb with a sweet thai chili
sauce with goat cheese and a 7oz filet that was as good as any steak
I've ever had. The server suggested bread pudding which
I'm not exactly crazy about, but have to admit it was incredible!
The wine list was extensive & soooooo reasonable. We had
a wonderful experience & will be back soon.
Karinne was excellent! (server)

Victoria charming on the outside, very good food on the inside.

Intimate dining in the individual rooms. Feels like you are having
an elegant dinner at a friends house, if I only had friends that
could cook this good!

I like Augustines. I have just had two quite different experiences
though so it is hard to know which is more true to charactor. The
first time I went w/ just one girlfriend. We were seated upstairs
in one of the quaint little rooms. I think I had some sort of sandwich.
It was good. What really stands out was the raspberry creme brulee
that I had for dessert, though. Wow! Rich and satiny. My 2nd visit
was w/ 7 others from my water aerobics class. We were seated outside
and it was a beautiful day. Unfortunately, we were overlooked
time and time again to have our order taken. Two of the ladies at
my table had the chicken salad and they said they felt a little
icky afterwards. I would go back, though. I think the good experience
outweighs the bad.

This is a very nice place to dine. Old Victorian house with lovely
garden area. One of the finest places to dine al fresco in the Denver
metro area. The food though sounds better on the menu than it tastes.
Not bad but really about average. Service is typically small
town friendly but inept. And the bill with wine, tip, is not cheap.

Just happened upon this old Victorian Home in C.R. It
was beautifully decorated inside & out with many gardens
& fountains. Very European looking. Excellent
food and very reasonable $. Wine list offered many great
picks. Friendly, but tentative service. We really had
a great experience. They had a beautiful hidden outdoor
patio in the back however it was rainy the day we
visited and didn't get to enjoy it.
