There is a reason why they call them "mountain pies" instead of pizzas. Thick chewy crust and enuff topping to be called a "pie". Good selection of house pizzas, as well as build your own. Great place for out of town guests or after skiing.

Best pizza I have ever had! My wife and daughter agreed. We ate on a Friday evening and returned a week later on a Saturday!Service was a little slow, we ran out of drinks several times and had to locate our server. The prairie pies are wonderful.

mmmm, Beau Jo's.. this location in Idaho Springs is such a treat after a long day on the ski slopes, or just simply a day in the mountains. it is located on the very historic Miner street in Idaho Springs. i believe this is Beau Jo's original location, and is easy to make a habit of going there again and again..
the menu offers a very distinctive style of pizza. they call them Mountain pies and you can create your own blend of ingredients, or go with some of the specialties that are already tried and true. theres a yummy salad bar that can be added onto any pizza order, and theres plenty more such as appetizers that will fill any appetite.
im giving Beau Jo's 5 stars 'cause i think there pizza is so unique with the fat bready crust with honey for a desert that is so yummy after a delicious pizza meal. their staff is always accomodating, and i know they are here to stay!

After a day in the mountains, I enjoy eating at this little establishment. There pizza has a different twist to it and they prefer to call it 'mountain pies'. There is always too much food, but you can eat it warmed for lunch the next day. Another great thing is the view from the front windows.

Interesting. Being from NJ, we like our pizza. This is definitely a new twist on pizza. First let me say...the entire place is interesting. With napkin art on the walls, and it is in what seems to me like an old western boomtown strip of shops. Reminded me of Virginia City Nevada. The variety of types of pizzas is great. You could eat there every day for a month and not have the same thing. The honey for the crust is definitely something new to me too.
Ther service is a little slow though..that is the only drawback. Enjoy it as a different place to eat.

Beau Jo's is such a Colorado thing-that makes it great! The toppings are plentiful and there are many to choose. My only complaint would be take the toppings further up. Yes, I like the crust and honey but I really like the pizza, too. Bathrooms upstairs are a little funky and the service can be slow but so so worth it!

Beau Jo's is a nice restaurant, and the napkin art on the walls is priceless, but in my opinion their pizza isn't much better than anyone else's. Maybe I'm just not a pizza connoisuer, but a few extra toppings and sauces on the menu doesn't impress me. However, if you want to enjoy pizza in a warm restaurant setting, Beau Jo's is a good choice.

I always love to look at the napkins that are hanging on the wall. They add to the whole experiance. I also love to order by the pound. It is great!

This Beau Jo's is in a perfect location. Who would not want to stop off I-70 after a day of skiing. The mountain pies (pizza) are delicious. There are about 5 different crust types and 10 of everything else that you can imagine going into a pizza. The restaurant has great flavor and style, in a mountain town.
