One of downtown's best steakhouses. Expensive, but worth the price. Excellent steaks, seafood, and wine list, A great place for a romantic meal. Make sure you are hungry, and be prepared to have leftovers - huge portions. Very knowledgable and courteaous waitstaff. Its awesome, Debbie

Great sushi, probably the best in Denver (I haven't found a better place yet). As others comment, service can be fair, and it does get very crowded and loud. Expect to spend about $40-$50 a person on sushi alone - not counting drinks. Very fresh food.

Among the finest sushi in Colorado. Very well trained staff present traditional sushi, along the lines of what one finds in Tokyo. The atmosphere is adequately comfortable, but not spectacular. Service is only slightly above bare minimum. The fish, however, is the freshest possible in the Rocky Mountains.

Very good sushi, too much noise. This is where all the yuppies hang out and chat on cell phone while they eat. That doesn't make it to enjoyable....

Well, it looks like evrybody is right here. The place is very noisy and not very japanese-like. They do not do a very good job with reservations. But if you got late (10 PM) when most of the crowd is gone, you can have a quiet meal, and the sushi is really good.

I loved Sushi Den. It was the first place I ever tried sushi and now I am truly spoiled. Everytime I go there I am more impressed than the last time. They have a very modern appeal, which I like. It is one of my favorite restuarants in Denver and I make it a point to eat there every time I am in town. You must get there early if you don't want to wait. But to me a lot of the fun is waiting and talking to the people around. Sushi Den is a must for anyone who even remotely likes sushi. You won't regret it.

This restaurant has some of the finest sushi anywhere!!! I have just moved from San Francisco and was truly impressed with the freshness of the fish and the kind service. After reading other reviews I was shocked to hear about the trivial complaints. If you are a "real" sushi lover, wait as long as you have to, have a cocktail enjoy the atmosphere walk down Pearl street, 'WHATEVER' and then sit at the bar ask for Sung (sushimaster) and let him treat you to some Japanese delicacies. If your not a sushi lover, want a quick meal, enjoy complaining and think you know it all, try one of those Yakitori fast food joints. If you want to try what I think is the best and healthiest cuisines in the world (Japanese) than wait your turn and be couragous with what you order. This is not your California Roll sushi bar!!!!!! So, this is the fabled 'best Sushi restaurant' in Denver? A place with the noise and atmosphere of an 'American bistro' that apparently just happens to serve Sushi. A place that 'loses' your reservation without a word of apology and then makes you wait for 45 minutes. (hey, it must be clear that I was a liar and never had made a reservation, right?) Disinterested waitresses, only seeking to fill you up with something with fish on it and then hurrying in the next tip-bringing bunch. And call me an 'inverted-racist', but funny me, I prefer to actually have some real Japanese behind the Sushi bar, not some gen-X white guys. I also prefer some actual Japanese ambience, not something the infamous '20-somethings' might find hip - which apparently includes music so loud that you can't have a meaningful conversation. Now, if all this had at least been accompanied by what indeed could be called the best Sushi in Denver, I could have at least enjoyed that. But far from it. I've had be ... more
