Supurb Dim Sum, or as my dad comments about my delight in this style of food "dim son" LOL. I have never eaten anything but dim sum here, but it is so good that I would be quite surprised to find that they serv other items of less the supurb quality! GO!

Among the wave of Asian and in particular Canton style chinese places in Wheaton, Good Fortune is just that....large dining room packed with locals and famlies on weekends...the Dim Sum is as good as Silver Fountain or any place in DC Chinatown. Bao that are light as a feather, no greasy fried stuff, good taro, and other offerings including crysthan. tea and rock sugar...But the regular menue is not to be over looked. They have a varied and extensive list as befits a well run cantonese restuarant, they also know how to make shu mai and vegetable dishes. Seafood is also very well done, scallops with black bean sauce, the famous shrimp in lobster sauce and whole steamed fish...try some of the soups for two...next time I will try their version of Peking Duck.

I have only been to the Good Fortune for Dim Sum. However, it is excellent in that regard. Cantonese dim sum, many types of steamed dumplings, the service is on carts from the weekends. This place gets very crowded on Sundays. I especially recommend the duck feet and the shark fin dumplings. All the steamed dumplings are light, not greasy, and very flavorful. Many of us consider this the best place for dim sum in the DC area.
