The restaurant offers different dishes than those that are available
at another great Thai place, Cha-Am, but the reason to come here
is their appetizers! Refreshingly different from all other
Thai places in town, all of the appetizers I tried on a recent visit
were excellent. Won Thai definately has a lot of character as
it resides in the same building as the bright pink Campus(?) motel!

The BEST family restaurant in Berkeley. The owner, Mark, is an amazing host. He knows all of his many regulars by name. Eachsauce is amazing. Hanauman Gluk Foon and the curries are consistently wonderful, and I have never found a dish that I didn't like. Kids are very welcome. My son gets a dinosaurplate during our weekly visit. Bring friends so that you cansample several things from the menu. You'll come back for more.

The BEST Thai food around. The service is very friendly,
though at peak times a tad bit slow. Almost everything
on the menu tastes great, but unless you really like things
hot, don't ask for it to be HOT. They really mean hot when
they say it. When it doubt, ask for mild. I think most
people would find that plenty.
Again, the BEST thai restaurant I've ever been to.

First, by Thai standards, 90% of Thai restaurants in
American are really bad. Won Thai isn't. It does not serve strong,
exceptional Thai dishes, but does give honest, dependable
renditions that are always satisfying. One dish though,
Hanuman Gluk Foon, is both exceptional and original and
not to be missed. Try the Woon Sen, the Pat Graprow, or
any of the curries. Also, the fried rice here is real
Thai and really tasty.
You may become one of the many regulars at Won Thai.
