When I first arrived to the restaurant, I thought it was a very nice place.
The surrounding area is very beautiful. We were seated immediately
and the food was okay. This was my first time actually eating at a sushi
restaurant and I thought I would enjoy the experience, until the end
of the night. My friends and I were going to order some drinks and dessert
afterwards. I had not payed the bill yet so I thought I would wait until
our server came, however, it took awhile so I went ahead and payed. As
soon as I signed my reciept, a hostess came and rushed us away, saying
the place was crowded and they needed to use our table right away. She
said we could go to the bar for drinks. We did not cause or scene or get
upset. We did as we were asked and went to the bar. We waited--and waited--waited--and
waited for someone to serve us but no one would come;even though someone
was standing there at the bar with her back turned to us. We decided to
go get drinks somewhere else--where we felt welcome, and as soon as
we got up from the bar, that same lady came to serve other customers.
Oh, did I forget to mention that those "other" customers
were white, and my friends and I were African-American and Hispanic!!
This was one of the most awful experiences I have ever had at a restaurant
and I for one will not be back. I also plan to tell any and everyone I know
about this experience. I have never been so disappointed!!
