I guess I'm not as impresses with Cantler's as everyone else. The crabs were cooked great, but the seasoning is put on dry after they're cooked - not my style. I prefer my seasoning on the crabs while they steam. If I'm wrong, and Cantler's does season while steaming, I had some uncharacteristic crabs during my visit, I guess. Another thing - we got there very early on a Saturday, around 2 PM and had to wait an hour for a seat inside. When we left, it looked like some folks would be waiting half the evening. That's not for me - I had a hard time waiting an hour as it was, but I wanted to try Cantler's as I hadn't been there before. To sum up - crabs steamed dry, not to my taste. Extremely long waits, not to my taste either, no matter how good or how much of a landmark the place is supposed to be. We won't go back, we'll leave the waiting and unseasoned crabs to the thousands of locals who don't mind that sort of thing.

Never had a bad crab here. Excellent, fresh Maryland steamed crabs and any other seafood you may want.

Cantlers is place that if your not told about it by someone youd never know it was there, however the crabs are cooked to perfection and their soft crab platter is delicious. Affordable prices and great service too.

No trip to Annapolis would be complete without a dinner at Cantlers.....I go for the crabs..any way I can get them....order a dozen (for two of you if you are light eaters)...and then just dig in...by all means try to get outdoors if the weather allows it....you will take home memories of a Maryland tradition. For those of us on the West Coast its something not to be missed.

More or less an instution among locals in the know, who are particular about their meaty blue crustaceans. Sometimes simple is best. The crabs are hot and the service is ample, if not better. Plenty of paper towels to wipe off all the Old Bay! Good corn to go with...

Good service and good food. Never had out of state crabs here. Parking can be a problem as can the wait if you don't get there early.

Steamed crabs and cold beer. The Cantlers have been doing it a long time and they have it down right.

We have being going to Cantlers for a long time. It is a casual place on the water with excellant Maryland seafood. Great crab cakes, crab dip and cream of crab soup. And try the Mannooes Clams served with Old Bay type seasoning and melted butter for something different.

Very nice restaurant. The atmosphere is great if you get a seat outside overlooking the water (and its not too hot). The food is very good especially crabs.
