Carmen's is the only "white table cloth" restaurant in Denton for now. The the staff is mostly well trained and the food is well prepared and nicely presented. You will feel the sense of a cosmopolitan dining area which is intimate but with the pleasant buzz of others at adjoining tables. This is the place to bring out of towners who think Denton is only a eat with your hat on Tex-Mex, BBQ and Chicken Fried Steak town. Their prime rib is a dependable specialty. The fish is usually well prepared and there is a pasta dish available at low to modest prices. If you have a sweet tooth, a desert cart will be wheeled into view which you may have trouble ignoring. Negatives would be a lack of good french bread and half-filled martinis. The house white wine is always a dependable choice.
