I enjoy La Madeleine, but it can be expensive to visit often. But if you get the Caesar only, it will fill you up. They are very generous with the salad and it is modestly priced. Granted you will want to visit and try other things, but this is an "under $5 review". If you add soup or other dishes, you will quickly exceed $5. Still, it is a great place with an excellent atmosphere. I especially like the open fire pit on cold days.

I enjoy this place for breakfast lunch and dinner also great take out and desserts. Fresh baked bread and a salad then top it off with great french desserts.

Good coffee selection. Great breads. Several other locations -- Oak Lawn area and Preston and Forest. Good choice for a morning business meeting. Quick, quite and tasty. The food and setting does not interfere with your conversation. I like it for Sunday breakfasts.

No reason not to have fresh baked bread in your house if you live near a La Madeleine. Several varieties of coffee offered sure to hit the spot. Excellent Caesar salad and tomato basil soup to die for. Other sandwiches, tarts, etc. all very good.

No better place for breakfast or lunch; Soup is great - Tomatoe Basil, French Onion, and Chicken Florentine; Great place to go after church, unless you have kids.
