Excellent food and service. Try the grilled lamb chops and the octopus vinagrette. Generous portions and reasonably priced.

What can I say, this restaurant is the closest thing to authentic Creole cooking you can get anywhere in the midwest. Jimmy the owner is friendly and has acquired star chef status with this wonderful menu he's put together. The atmosphere is casual and fun. This place has some rather spicer dishes. If you order the "Hot as a Mutha" you're required to sign a cute and charming waiver. Those that have ordered this teared up, and I am assuming they crave "hot!" I think the menu is priced well, but as the other reviews have stated, the drinks are too pricey. Come on Jimmy give us a break, we do love those Hurricanes. There are three locations even though only one address is listed.

I went to New Orleans and fell in love with the food. When I came back I was craving creole cooking and went to Heaven On Seven and was so disappointed. It was not New Orleans cooking at all I will never go back

What a great place for a memorable dinner or celebration! Sevice was fantastic. Our group voted hands down for the Ettoufe. We also thought that the crab cakes were exceptional. Hands down, we're going back there soon!

There may be other things on the menu, but for me Jimmy Feed Me and Jimmy Feed Me Jr hook me everytime. The chef prepares these tastes personally. They include 5 or 7 small courses. From the Turtle Soup, with personally poured sherry over the top to the dessert, this meal is fabulous.

Very, very cool. Having just been down to New Orleans a few weeks prior to the hurricane, and then on a little jaunt through Chicago, this seemed a natural. Really wonderful. Service was very good, and the food was very, very good. Nothing was left out. Spices, and sauces galore. Very fun, and we will go back.

Any of the shrimp dishes are worth while. Super fun atmosphere -- there are about 2500 bottles of hot sauce on the wall and live craw-fish doing battle on the end of the bar (most nights). Mixed drinks are brutally expensive... a martini was $9.00.

If you like cajun food this might be a good place to eat, but if you don't I'd stay away. The catfish was good, but just not my style.

Outside of the food in the Louisiana, you won't find food this far north creole style quite as good as at Heaven on Seven. It can be quite a pricey experience as far as drinks go. But the Savory jambalaya, and gumbo soup were absolutely fatastic. They gave great service, and there was just enough hot sauce on the table as there ought to have been as far as a creole style restaurant goes. I loved it. Next time I'm in Chicago I'll be

back. SO EAT AT HEAVEN ON SEVEN!!!!

Great food. I've had several items, my favorite is the Ettoufe. I'd also suggest the jerk chicken wings. Any of the shrimp dishes are worth while. Super fun atmosphere -- there are about 2500 bottles of hot sauce on the wall and live craw-fish doing battle on the end of the bar (most nights). Mixed drinks are brutally expensive... a martini was $9.00.

That's an estimate on the average price. I have only been once but can't wait to take my husband there. He will absolutely love it. The food was the closest I've ever come to genuine New Orleans fare - even in cities that were way down south. There was an amazing array of appetizers, an astounding variety of entrees and tons of great beer. The service was quick & friendly, the atmosphere was nice, casual and fun and the food couldn't have been better. My regret? That I have so many restaurants I want to try (I've only been here a year) and haven't been back YET. Oh, and I didn't make it to dessert...

Great, great food, moderately priced. Great entrees, but] the best idea is to choose a few appetizers and make a] meal out of those. That way you can try more than one or] two things. The last time I went there was with a few friends.] We weren't very hungry, so we just went in for a hurricane.] Pretty soon the aroma of the food got to us, and before we] knew it, we had a table full of appetizers that we all shared.] The crab cakes are some of the best I've ever tasted, and the] jambalaya is great. The gumbo is good, but I've had] better in New Orleans. Can't wait to go back to continue] working my way through the menu!]

I had the Ettoufe, which had sausage, shrimp, crawfish on a bed of rice. It was great! It had just the right amount of spices and tasted delicious. I also had the poppers. The were mild peppers with a very creamy cheese and a excellent crust. I had the soup of the day which was a corn soup. It was pureed corn and was a bit on the sweet side but complemented all the different hot sauces that are on the table. For desert I tried the coconut cream pie. It was terrific. They couldn't do better. Service was terrific and with a smile. I will be back!
