Good steak but I do prefer Ruths Chris. The atmosphere is lovely but a bit Miami Vice.

Located in the hot River North restaurant district, Magnum's has become a mecca for steak aficionados, and offers a varied bill of fare, including lobster, crab and fresh fish. Magnum's is one of very few steakhouses which serve only 100% USDA Prime Aged steaks. It's this extra attention to the quality of its steaks that has brought such enthusiastic praise from food critics all over the city. The Chicago Sun-Times raves: 'Excellent... exquisitely tender and flavorful steaks,' and Chicago Magazine named it 'Best New Restaurant.' There's 'Life After Dinner' in the piano bar and adjoining 'FACES' dance lounge, featuring classic 70's dance music. Six private rooms provide elegant event space for 10 to 400.
