Everything I've tried has been excellent, but I always find
myself
craving the red beans and rice and the very best cole slaw salad
in the world.

Great Cajun seafood! Have tried almost everything on the menu
and have NEVER been disappointed. Everything is prepared after
you order. They don't have a heat lamp. The fried foods are never
greasy - always crisp and delicious. The grilled fish has always
been fresh and tasty. But the best are the crawfish when they are
in season. Get there early, or they might be sold out. It just doesn't
get any better than this. Also have a friendly, attentive wait
staff.

The first thing that I should warn you about is their food is extremely
spicy, so keey some water within arms reach. They stick to the
cajan theme vary well. Free bread along with fast service.

I recently moved to Dallas from south Louisiana. Since I am
orginally from south Louisiana, I know what good seafood is and good
cajun seafood is. I feel that this place is the ideal place for
good seafood and cajun seafood. It has a type of atmosphere that you
would find at a good seafood place in south Louisiana. It is not
like so so called chain seafood resturants. Lunch specials are under
$10.00 and regular menu prices are under $15.00, without drink. Went
late for lunch so not sure if there is a large lunch crowd. HIghly
recommend for any one wanting real seafood.

great place to eat, for around $8.95 you get a hearty portion of
crawfish, about a pound and a half, and they are very tasty. Great
service and they will do everything it takes to make your dining
experience a good one, one day i had to wait for the crawfish to
cook and they apoligized and offered me a free bowl of gumbo, and
it was very good.

We've been going to Dodie's since they opened in 1990, and have
NEVER been disappointed! The Gumbo, Red beans & Rice, Shrimp Creole,
Po-Boys, Mudbugs, and Catfish are second to none! The service is
excellent, and family friendly! (They make you feel at home!) As
stated above by another reviewer, Charlie, Chris, Casey, Adam and
the staff will do what it takes to make your meal a great one!

A "come as you are" casual neighborhood restaurant, but with
consistently good quality food and value. You must eat here if
you can't get to Louisiana.
