I like eating here. I always had a good experience here, Also whenever I come to my favorite taqueria I always try something new because the food is really good. If you want to try some authentic spicy food try the Shrimp of the House or "Camarones a la Casa".If you would like to try some of their "special"seafood I would recommend the Hawaiian pineapple or "pina Hawaiiana".This place to me has it all, excellent service, friendly and proffesional people and most importantly their prices are awesome!.As a college student and part time worker I have to really budget my spending on everything I do especially food. Every day they have a special meal that includes the main course, rice, beans, salad and a drink. As a usual customer I would just like to say that it is very hard to find a place that offers authentic Mexican food for the normal price of what you would pay for a burger and fries. --P.S.-- people who write bad or cruel comments are usually poeple who like to complain about any and every thing even if it is a good thing, what they are forgeting though that it is extremely difficult to run any kind of establishment whether it would be in the food business or not.I will be finishing school this june and getting my AA in business. To me this place is doing pretty good, they just need more time to get more settled and i believe they will prosper.

I visited this restaurant 3 times and always tried beef burrito. I would rate 3 starts on my first visit. The service was slow however the food was good. Beef Burrito had lots of juicy stir-fried thin sliced beef. The 2nd visit, I would rate it as 2. Burrito had become little bit greasy. As I bite, the grease came off. The service has become further slow. I did not see any customer in the restaurant and still had to wait for about 20 minutes to get food. The 3rd visit turned to be a nightmare. Beef burrito did not have any stir-fried beef. We only saw stewed like beef(Just a tiny piece, only a piece!) and soggy bell pepper and onions, rice was totally soaked and sized more than double of what the rice was supposed to be. We told the server about the problem, 5 minutes later, she came back from kitchen and explained that she did not know what happened in the kitchen however she will execuse us from paying for burrito. Now that we are done with our meal, we went a casher and the very same server was charing us for burrito. We complained and the manager/owner(?) came out and told us it is not fair that we do not pay for burrito. We explained again of what happened however the store manager did not agree. As we hated to fight for the cheap food, we paid for it. we went to the restaurant to fill the empty stomach as well as have good time. We ended up with feeling really bad. So, I rate this restaurant 1 star and do not go there again.

The tri-tip burrito at this place is the best I've ever had! (but they don't always have it available) Also the fajitas are excellent. I eat at Taqueria Nuevo Vallarta almost every Friday for dinner and find the service reasonable. Usually the place doesn't have many people, so it's not hard to get attention.

I love this place! Ok, I admit that I'm a sucker for Mexican food...but, this place is awesome. They have this salsa with advocado in it that is to die for. I would seriously go to this place for the chips and salsa alone...except that they have some awesome chicken and steak fajitas! They are the best I have ever had and when I'm feeling lazy I order the tri-tip burrito. It is their steak fajitas wrapped in a tortilla with rice, beans & salsa....yummie! I also like their shredded beef tacos...occasionally I order lengua tacos as well.

As much as I love this place they do have some drawbacks. The service can be slow and the staff speaks Spanish better than English (personally I take that as a good sign in a Mexican restaurant). They don't serve wine - they only serve beer. They never bring us the check - we always just go to the counter to pay when we are done.

All in all, I love this place and if you would like to try some awesome, traditional Mexican food then Nuevo Vallarte is the place for you.

First impression wasn't good..........sat and wasn't addressed, or given water for 5 minutes (in a pretty empty place). Good sized menu----seems a little high priced.....rent must be high. Food was ok, but nothing set it out from many other better, and cheaper places in the locale. Breakfast is just ok.
