The taste of the food is great. It taste like it was prepared fresh.
One of the best oriental I've been to. Loved the chicken and
shrimp dishes.

ROACH! I reluctantly went there with my wife and two young kids
despite a co-worker telling me about the roach in his fried rice.
They ushered him out immediately without having him pay. So I
thought, that was awhile back so it should be okay now. First of
all the food was a 6 out of 10. Lots of options but not the best tasting.
(I've learned that Happy Dragon at 103rd and Stateline is
better...smaller selection but top notch taste). At the tail
end of the meal, as I was walking back with dessert I heard my son
cry out because there was a roach that found its way ONTO the table.
(We had the 4 person table behind the ice cream machine). We told
a waiter and all he said was "Sorry" and scooped it
up with a napkin. We told the cashier and they said all they would
do is knock of the price of 1 meal. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???? My goal
is to tell at least one person a day what my experience is over there.
There are too many options in Overland Park and Kansas City to
put up with sub-par food, roaches, and unforgiveable service.
This place is pretty good. I have been here several times and enjoy there food. It is not the best in town by far, but a decent place to eat if you are in the mood for chinese. The staff is very nice and are always on top of drink refills.
The buffet food there are not as good. The service there are attentive,
but there's no much for food selection or quiality. The pricing
is fair because it's not a place that I would come for the buffet.
The need to have more spices so that it doesn't taste too dry.
The buffet here is big but leaves a little to be desired in quality.
What they lack in food taste they make up for in service. I think
they have some of the friendliest wait staff in the area (at least
in a Chinese restaurant). It is located in the parking lot of the
K-Mart on the east side of Metcalf, near 95th St.
