Dinner's Ready

Dinner's Ready is a great place to eat! Dad and I shared lunch with his Sunday school class. It was not crowded, but with such tasty food and excellent service, I'm betting the word will get out on how great a place this is. They started us off with a Fried Pork Skin. After that, both Dad and I had the Hamburger Steak. It was cooked to order, which for us meant Well Done. It had that sorta "smokey, charcoaly" taste. It was the best hamburger steak I've had in I can't remember when. I chose to order the Cream Corn and the Fried Okra as my two vegetables. Both were excellent. I chose the Yeast Roll and Dad chose the Cornbread. We were both pleased. For dessert, I went with the "Dessert of the Day", which was a moist and fluffy cake with Peanut Butter icing. To drink, I had a Diet Coke which, of course, came with unlimited refills. The food was great. The service was great. The only thing that made it better was good company.
