Folsom doesn't have much of an inviting food and beverage scene
unless you have a taste for the mass market chains, which more and more
are making every city in California lose their individual character.
I am happy to report a new restaurant has recently opened up in Folsom
- Manderes has a comfortable and classy atmosphere, great food, and
an extensive beer and wine selection with something for everyone.
Their menu is a mixture of old standards and eclectic new tastes. Their
crab, lobster and sweet corn chowder is so good your real danger is not
getting to the restaurant before they run out. Today's spur of
the moment lunch consisted of their "Bulgogi Hoagie",
merging the American steak sandwich with a centuries old BBQ style
perfected in Korea. Joining the sandwich were great fries and a very
generous Caesar salad, all for $10.95.The service was friendly and
attentive on both of my visits and I look forward to returning soon.
Check this place out - you will not be ...

Great Place. I got the Chimay Glazed Chicken and my wife got the lobster
ravioli. Both were wonderful and the portions were plenty. We finished
with the Xango which is one of the best desserts I have tasted. This is
definitely the first Gastro Pub in the Sacramento Area. Excellent
food and great beer. I don't recommend bringing the kids. This
is an adult night out type of place. I love this place.
