Rugby Beach Club Grille is the first restaurant that I've seen that allows you to mix-and-match the different foods on their menu to create your own entree. You can choose any of the meats available (steak, lamb, chicken, pork, and seafood) and match them up with any of their side dishes which include several tasty vegetables and carbohydrate options. The beauty of the a-la-carte idea is that if you want just steak, you can have just steak. If you want just mushrooms or a side of potatoes, then you can have just mushrooms or a side of potatoes! Combine any self-made entree with any of the mouthwatering appetizers offered and you have the potential to create hundreds of different dining experiences. If the food isn't enough to convince you to visit, then the drinks will. The Rugby Beach Club Grille is known for having rock-bottom drink prices: one can always find drinks priced under $3. I don't know of any other restaurant that can match this deal, making the Rugby Beach Club Grille a near ideal place for bringing a bunch of friends without worrying about running over budget! The restaurant is quite classy for a "grille", and has an ambiance that is upscale sporty casual. Each table has two attentive servers: one specializing in drinks, the other in food. The atmosphere and service make it ideal for a first date, a casual meet-up, or a relaxed evening with friends. After dining at this restaurant, I sure you'll agree that there is a lot to be said for simplicity.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always Excellent with great service to go along with it. Great atmosphere also. I like how you can order everything individually so you get what you want. A huge selection to choose from.

By far, the best place in town to go for extremely cheap drinks (without the piss smell of the Ivanhoe) and amazing food. I believe the kitchen has, on a continual basis, some of the best chefs in Vancouver.
I heard the owner(s) started this place to give those without the high Vancouver income a place to get great food at very reasonable prices.
The service is some of the worst in town; I don't understand how anyone can say it's great. I'm a regular, but the wait staff is slow and I've even heard a waitress once continually blame the bartender. For the amount of servers roaming around I expect much better service.
Now, having said that, I'm moving away for a while and this is the place that I will miss the most by far.
Get your butts down there. It's awesome. Kind of like the Keg commercials, but with really good food.

Lots of great drinks can be had here and the service and atmosphere is great. Food is reasonably priced and you get great value no matter what you order, with large portions of tasty food.

I love this place. Once you came here you'll just keep coming back. The atmosphere was awesome. Very comfortable seating areas. It gets crowded but it is still intimate enough.Great food variety, lots of choices; I love their garlic mushed potatoes, alligator meat, yummmm (it tastes like chicken, don't be a whimp). Martinis $2.99. You've got to try this fenomenal place.

One of my absolute favourite places to go in Vancouver! A great menu selection, including appy's, entrees, starchs and veggies - you order each item seperately, ensuring you get exactly what you want! Of note are lobster Mondays, when lobster tails start at only 99 cents when added on to your meal. A phenomenal deal!
The best bonus? The drinks are more than reasonable! I recommend the Watermelon Martini, which boasts a half dozen cubes of fresh watermelon in a martini glass, topped with melon liquor and vodka. Yum!

This place is great! The waiters and waitresses are very friendly,

they don't treat you as just another customer, but someone important. I was there the other night, and we ordered our food and it was there

withing 10-15 minutes. If it's your birthday, you get a free piece of cake. I urge you to try this place out. You won't be disappointed.

The food is just delicious.

Very good food, and fabulous drink specials. A great place for a group of friends to hang out or watch the 'Nucks game. Offers tofu entrees for those who prefer to eat vegetarian. Arrive early to avoid the wait!

Rugby offers an innovative idea in dining with a segregated menu all at a fantastic price. Rugby gives you the versatility of ordering each portion of your dinners separately... order the steak tenderloins with garlic mashed potatoes and schezwan green beans all ranging in price from $3 to $9 each. To top it all off, the drinks are very reasonalby priced. Where else can you get a pint of Guiness for under $2. That's right... a PINT! This is a great place to go with a group of friends before a night out or otherwise. They don't take reservations so it's first come.. first serve. The wait is well worth it!!
