If Branson was a restaurant, it would be a Cracker Barrel. Over-salted
fatty food, and ersatz "country store" atmosphere,
but you could do worse - Waffle House, for example. (Bob Evans
is similar but better.)
These restaurants are conveniently located near the interstates.
The atmosphere is cool, set up like an old southern cabin or house.
I find the gift shop to be anoying; I came to eat not buy tourist
items.
Delicious Southern style country cooking and an almost soothing
atmosphere, that is what you will find at The Cracker Barrel.
They also have an area set up like an old country store in which
you can purchase gift items and/or candy.
